Websites for builders & renovators

Websites for builders.

A website for your building business that shows finished work, names what you take on, and makes a homeowner comfortable enough to ask for a quote.

We design your homepage first. You only pay if you want to go ahead.

What actually matters here.

Nobody hands over a house and a large sum of money to a stranger on the strength of a logo. They do it because they have seen work you finished, in a home like theirs, and because the site reads like an outfit that turns up, cleans up and does not disappear halfway through.

  • Photographs of finished work, ideally with the before shot next to it
  • The kinds of work you take on, and honestly the ones you do not
  • Where you build, so nobody wastes your time or theirs
  • Roughly what a project like theirs costs, or at least a range
  • How a job runs, from first visit to final snag list
  • A quote request form that asks for photographs and a rough budget
Before they call you

How your customers actually find you.

A building job is decided slowly and almost never on the first visit. Somebody searches for a builder in their town, opens four or five sites, and spends the whole time looking for one thing: proof that you have finished something like what they want. Then they disappear for a fortnight, ask two neighbours, and come back to the two sites they remembered. Nothing you write matters as much as the photographs of finished work, and nothing loses you the job faster than a site that cannot show any.

What we would build

The pages a builder's site needs.

Not a template — this is the shape we would actually recommend, and why each page earns its place.

Home

What you build, where, and three photographs of finished work good enough to stop somebody scrolling.

Projects

The heart of the site. Each project with a before shot, the finished shot, the suburb and a line on what it involved. This is what earns the call.

What we take on

Extensions, renovations, new builds, alterations — named plainly, and honest about what you would rather not do. Turning away the wrong job on the website is cheaper than turning it away on site.

How a job runs

First visit, quote, timeline, payments, snag list. Homeowners are afraid of being left with a half-finished house, and the site that explains the process calms that better than any promise.

Areas we build in

A radius most builders travel is smaller than people assume, and saying so saves everybody a wasted site visit.

Request a quote

A form that asks for photographs, the suburb and a rough budget, so your first reply can be useful instead of another round of questions.

Start smaller and add pages later if you would rather. See plans and what they are worth to you, or check your current site free.

Worth avoiding

What goes wrong on most builders' sites.

Said plainly, because these are the faults we are asked to fix most often — and if your current site has them, that is the redesign conversation rather than a new build.

  • No finished-work photographs, or four blurry ones from a phone in bad light. For a builder this is the whole site, and everything else is packaging around it.
  • No budget signal anywhere, so half the quotes you drive out for were never going to happen.
  • A vague list of services with nothing to show behind it, which reads exactly like the outfits that took a deposit and vanished.
  • No mention of how a job actually runs, leaving the one fear every homeowner has entirely unanswered.

Good questions

Things people ask us.

Should I put prices on a builder's website?

Not per job — every build is different and a firm number would be dishonest. What works is a range or a per-square-metre guide with a plain sentence saying what moves it. A homeowner with no price signal at all assumes you are either the most expensive or about to surprise them, and most of them simply do not enquire.

I have very few photographs of finished work. What now?

Start photographing from the next job, and go back to two or three clients you are still on good terms with and ask to shoot the finished room. A phone in daylight with the space tidied is enough. Six proper projects will do more for your enquiries than anything else you could spend the money on, including the website itself.

Do I need a separate site for renovations and new builds?

No. One site, with the projects split so a homeowner planning an extension is not scrolling past new builds to find one. They are different searches but the same business, and a second site would halve the attention you can give either.

Do I have to pay before I see anything?

No. We design your homepage first and show it to you in a browser. If you do not like it, you owe us nothing. Only once you are happy do we agree a start date and take the first payment.

How much does a website for a builder cost?

One monthly price and no build fee: R 399, R 599 or R 899 a month, including the design, hosting and changes, or the year in one go with two months free. For most builders we recommend the Grow plan (R 599), because it answers every enquiry for you. Full SEO is an extra from R 3 500 a month. You see your homepage before you pay.

I already have a site but it does nothing for me.

That is the most common call we get, and AI-built sites are a growing share of it. Run the free website check on our homepage to see exactly what is wrong; most sites have the same three faults: slow, painful on a phone, and never telling the visitor what to do next. We tell you honestly whether it needs replacing or just repairing, with a fixed quote.

Do I need to write all the content myself?

No. Give us the rough facts — what you do, where you work, what you charge — and we will shape it into something that reads well and sells. You approve every word before it goes live.

What happens after the site is live?

We host it, keep it patched and backed up, and make small changes as your business changes. That is the "care" part, included in every plan. You are never left holding a website you cannot edit and cannot reach anybody about.
