Websites for vets & animal clinics

Websites for vets.

A veterinary practice website that answers the after-hours question first, then makes a new pet owner want you as their vet.

We design your homepage first. You only pay if you want to go ahead.

What actually matters here.

Half the people who open a vet's website are frightened and holding an animal. The other half have just moved into the area and are choosing a practice for the next ten years. Your site has to serve the emergency in five seconds and still be worth reading for the second one.

  • After-hours and emergency arrangements, above everything else
  • Your address and a map that opens straight into their phone
  • Consultation fees, or a from-price, so cost is not a mystery
  • The vets themselves, with photographs — people choose a person
  • Which animals you treat, including whether you see exotics or livestock
  • Vaccination, sterilisation and dental services set out plainly
Before they call you

How your customers actually find you.

The emergency search dominates and it is brutal — somebody with a hurt animal, on a phone, at nine at night, typing for an emergency vet near them. They need a number, an address and whether you are open, and they will not read a second line. Underneath that sits a slower, more valuable search: a family that has moved suburb or just taken on a puppy, comparing three practices on whether the vets seem kind, what a consultation costs and whether the practice will still be there in five years. The first search fills tonight; the second fills the next decade.

What we would build

The pages a vet's site needs.

Not a template — this is the shape we would actually recommend, and why each page earns its place.

Home

Where you are, when you are open, and the after-hours number. A frightened person must find all three without scrolling.

Emergencies and after-hours

Its own page, because it is its own search. What to do at midnight, where to go, what it costs and what to do on the way.

Our vets and nurses

Photographs and names. Pet owners are loyal to a person far more than to a practice, and this is the page that starts that.

Services

Vaccinations, sterilisations, dentistry, X-rays, boarding if you offer it — in ordinary words, grouped by what the owner is worried about.

Fees

A consultation from-price at minimum. Cost is a real and largely unspoken reason people delay bringing an animal in, and saying it plainly gets them through the door sooner.

Contact and find us

A map that opens in their phone, parking, and how to reach you in a hurry.

Start smaller and add pages later if you would rather. See plans and what they are worth to you, or check your current site free.

Worth avoiding

What goes wrong on most vets' sites.

Said plainly, because these are the faults we are asked to fix most often — and if your current site has them, that is the redesign conversation rather than a new build.

  • The after-hours number buried on a contact page, when it is the single most urgent thing anybody comes to the site for.
  • No fee indication anywhere, which quietly keeps people from bringing an animal in at all until it is worse and more expensive.
  • Stock photographs of golden retrievers instead of your actual vets, in a profession that runs almost entirely on personal trust.
  • No mention of which animals you see, so the person with a rabbit, a parrot or a smallholding cannot tell whether to phone you.

Good questions

Things people ask us.

What is the most important thing on a vet's website?

The after-hours arrangement, without much competition. A large share of your urgent visitors arrive at night and need a number, an address and a yes or no about whether somebody will see them. Put it where it cannot be missed, and give it a page of its own so it can be found by search too.

Should we publish consultation fees?

A from-price for a standard consultation is enough, and it does more good than harm. Owners genuinely delay bringing an animal in because they have no idea what it will cost, and a practice that says the number plainly gets the visit earlier, when it is cheaper for them and easier for you.

Does it help to write about pet health topics?

A handful of genuinely useful pages, yes — tick and flea seasons, what a vaccination schedule looks like, when to worry about a symptom. These are searched constantly by local owners and they bring the right people to your site. A blog you abandon after four posts does nothing, so write five good pages rather than starting a habit you will not keep.

Do I have to pay before I see anything?

No. We design your homepage first and show it to you in a browser. If you do not like it, you owe us nothing. Only once you are happy do we agree a start date and take the first payment.

How much does a website for a vet cost?

One monthly price and no build fee: R 399, R 599 or R 899 a month, including the design, hosting and changes, or the year in one go with two months free. For most vets we recommend the Grow plan (R 599), because it answers every enquiry for you. Full SEO is an extra from R 3 500 a month. You see your homepage before you pay.

I already have a site but it does nothing for me.

That is the most common call we get, and AI-built sites are a growing share of it. Run the free website check on our homepage to see exactly what is wrong; most sites have the same three faults: slow, painful on a phone, and never telling the visitor what to do next. We tell you honestly whether it needs replacing or just repairing, with a fixed quote.

Do I need to write all the content myself?

No. Give us the rough facts — what you do, where you work, what you charge — and we will shape it into something that reads well and sells. You approve every word before it goes live.

What happens after the site is live?

We host it, keep it patched and backed up, and make small changes as your business changes. That is the "care" part, included in every plan. You are never left holding a website you cannot edit and cannot reach anybody about.
