Websites for dentists & dental practices

Websites for dentists.

A dental practice website that calms an anxious patient down and gets the appointment booked — hours, medical aid and a real face.

We design your homepage first. You only pay if you want to go ahead.

What actually matters here.

A good share of the people finding your practice are nervous, in pain, or both. They are not comparing qualifications. They want to know whether you can see them soon, whether their medical aid works, and whether the person holding the drill seems kind.

  • A visible way to book, and how soon you can realistically see somebody
  • Which medical aids you deal with, and what happens if they have none
  • The dentists themselves, with photographs and names
  • Treatments explained in ordinary words, not clinical ones
  • Something honest and unfussy for anxious patients
  • Emergency and after-hours arrangements, said clearly
Before they call you

How your customers actually find you.

There are two kinds of visitor and they arrive in very different states. One has toothache and is searching for an emergency dentist near them, right now, on a phone — they will phone whoever answers first and shows an open slot. The other has been putting off a check-up for two years and is quietly working out whether the practice will be gentle about it, whether their medical aid is accepted, and what it will cost if it is not. The second one reads far more of your site than you would expect, and warmth is what wins them.

What we would build

The pages a dentist's site needs.

Not a template — this is the shape we would actually recommend, and why each page earns its place.

Home

Where you are, how to book, and whether you can see somebody soon. Nothing above the fold that a person in pain has to read around.

Our dentists

Photographs, names and a few human sentences. Patients pick a person, and this page does more converting than the treatment pages combined.

Treatments

Fillings, crowns, cleanings, implants, orthodontics — in the words patients use. Group them by what the patient wants fixed, not by discipline.

Medical aid and fees

Which schemes you deal with, whether you charge scheme rates, and what a first visit costs for somebody without cover. This is the most-read page on most practice sites and usually the emptiest.

Nervous patients

A short, unembarrassed page on what you do for people who are frightened of the chair. It is a genuine search and almost no practice writes it.

Book an appointment

A form or a booking system, plus a number, plus what to do at ten at night with a broken tooth.

Start smaller and add pages later if you would rather. See plans and what they are worth to you, or check your current site free.

Worth avoiding

What goes wrong on most dentists' sites.

Said plainly, because these are the faults we are asked to fix most often — and if your current site has them, that is the redesign conversation rather than a new build.

  • Nothing at all about medical aid, which is the first question almost every South African patient has and the fastest reason they close the tab.
  • Stock photographs of models with impossible teeth instead of the actual dentists. Patients are choosing a person and you have shown them nobody.
  • Treatments written in clinical language, so a worried person cannot tell which one describes their problem.
  • No emergency information, on a site whose most urgent visitors arrive at night with a cracked tooth.

Good questions

Things people ask us.

Can I advertise dental treatments on a website?

You can describe the treatments you provide and what they involve — that is information, and patients need it. What the professional rules are careful about is anything that reads as touting or as a guaranteed outcome. In practice a factual, plainly written treatment page is both the compliant option and the one that converts best. Check anything you are unsure of against your council's current guidance before we publish it.

Should I list the medical aids I work with?

Yes, and near the top. It is the first thing most South African patients want to know and the most common reason somebody leaves a practice website without phoning. Say which schemes you deal with, whether you charge scheme rates, and what a first consultation costs for a patient paying cash.

Do patients really read a page about dental anxiety?

More than any other soft page on a dental site. A meaningful number of adults have been avoiding a dentist for years and are searching for exactly that reassurance. A short honest page about how you handle it brings in patients who were never going to phone a practice that did not mention it.

Do I have to pay before I see anything?

No. We design your homepage first and show it to you in a browser. If you do not like it, you owe us nothing. Only once you are happy do we agree a start date and take the first payment.

How much does a website for a dentist cost?

One monthly price and no build fee: R 399, R 599 or R 899 a month, including the design, hosting and changes, or the year in one go with two months free. For most dentists we recommend the Grow plan (R 599), because it answers every enquiry for you. Full SEO is an extra from R 3 500 a month. You see your homepage before you pay.

I already have a site but it does nothing for me.

That is the most common call we get, and AI-built sites are a growing share of it. Run the free website check on our homepage to see exactly what is wrong; most sites have the same three faults: slow, painful on a phone, and never telling the visitor what to do next. We tell you honestly whether it needs replacing or just repairing, with a fixed quote.

Do I need to write all the content myself?

No. Give us the rough facts — what you do, where you work, what you charge — and we will shape it into something that reads well and sells. You approve every word before it goes live.

What happens after the site is live?

We host it, keep it patched and backed up, and make small changes as your business changes. That is the "care" part, included in every plan. You are never left holding a website you cannot edit and cannot reach anybody about.
