Websites for restaurants & cafés

Websites for restaurants.

A restaurant website that puts the menu, the hours and the booking one tap away — no PDF, no pinch-to-zoom.

We design your homepage first. You only pay if you want to go ahead.

What actually matters here.

The single most common thing a person wants from a restaurant website is the menu, on their phone, right now. Serve it as a PDF and you have lost them. That one fix converts more covers than anything else we could do for you.

  • The menu as a real web page, readable without zooming
  • Hours that are correct today, including public holidays
  • A booking link or number that works with one tap
  • Photographs of the food and the room
  • A map, parking notes and how to find the door
  • Your Google listing wired up so you show on the map
Before they call you

How your customers actually find you.

There is one dominant reason people open a restaurant website, and it is the menu, on a phone, right now. Second is whether you are open today, and third is booking a table. Everything else — the story, the chef, the interior photography — is read by almost nobody and should never be allowed to stand between a hungry person and the menu.

What we would build

The pages a restaurant's site needs.

Not a template — this is the shape we would actually recommend, and why each page earns its place.

Home

What kind of place you are, where, open or not, and the menu one tap away.

Menu

As a real web page. Not a PDF, not a photograph of a printed menu, not something that needs pinching to read.

Book a table

A form, a number or a booking system — whichever you will actually keep on top of.

Find us and hours

A map that opens in their phone, parking, and hours that are correct on public holidays.

Gallery

The food and the room, honestly photographed.

Start smaller and add pages later if you would rather. See plans and what they are worth to you, or check your current site free.

Worth avoiding

What goes wrong on most restaurants' sites.

Said plainly, because these are the faults we are asked to fix most often — and if your current site has them, that is the redesign conversation rather than a new build.

  • The menu as a PDF. It downloads, it opens in a separate app, the text is microscopic, and a good share of people give up at that point. This one fix moves more covers than anything else we could do for you.
  • Hours that are wrong over a long weekend, which turns into someone standing outside a locked door writing a review about it.
  • A full-screen video on the home page that takes eight seconds to load before anything is readable.
  • No booking route at all, on a site whose visitors are mostly deciding where to eat tonight.

Good questions

Things people ask us.

Why does it matter that the menu is not a PDF?

Because a PDF is a document, not a page. On a phone it downloads, opens somewhere else, and arrives at the wrong size — and each of those steps loses people who were about to eat at your restaurant. A web menu also lets Google read your dishes and prices, which a PDF largely hides. It is the single most common fault we find on restaurant sites and the easiest to fix.

Do you build online ordering and delivery?

We can, and we will also tell you honestly when you do not need it. If you already take most delivery through one of the big platforms, a well-built menu and a booking route usually earns more than duplicating an ordering system. If you want to move orders off the platforms and keep the margin, that is real software and we quote it separately.

How do I keep the menu updated when prices change?

Send us the changes and we do them — that is included in hosting and care, usually same day. If your menu changes weekly we will build it so you can edit it yourself instead; say so up front, because it changes how the site is put together.

Do I have to pay before I see anything?

No. We design your homepage first and show it to you in a browser. If you do not like it, you owe us nothing. Only once you are happy do we agree a start date and take the first payment.

How much does a website for a restaurant cost?

One monthly price and no build fee: R 399, R 599 or R 899 a month, including the design, hosting and changes, or the year in one go with two months free. For most restaurants we recommend the Grow plan (R 599), because it answers every enquiry for you. Full SEO is an extra from R 3 500 a month. You see your homepage before you pay.

I already have a site but it does nothing for me.

That is the most common call we get, and AI-built sites are a growing share of it. Run the free website check on our homepage to see exactly what is wrong; most sites have the same three faults: slow, painful on a phone, and never telling the visitor what to do next. We tell you honestly whether it needs replacing or just repairing, with a fixed quote.

Do I need to write all the content myself?

No. Give us the rough facts — what you do, where you work, what you charge — and we will shape it into something that reads well and sells. You approve every word before it goes live.

What happens after the site is live?

We host it, keep it patched and backed up, and make small changes as your business changes. That is the "care" part, included in every plan. You are never left holding a website you cannot edit and cannot reach anybody about.
